Marana

It is respected as one of the best pre-planned communities in the state.

Welcome to Marana

Stunning Sonoran desert town that looks towards the future

The town of Marana is located in a dramatic Sonoran-desert setting just Northwest of Tuscon and is surrounded by farmland, scenic mountains, and wide open spaces. The beautiful location is the fastest-growing community in the Tucson Metro area. With this growth, Marana has been planning the community diligently for over 20 years, introducing homes, hospitals, schools, and other community facilities. As a result, it is respected as one of the best pre-planned communities in the state.
Marana has a long history of ranching and farming—as such, the community consists of agricultural acres and spacious lots with ranches, but most of the homes are newer constructions. With easy commutes to I-10 and Phoenix, the desert town is still close to everything you need, making it a great place to call home.

Local Lifestyle

Residents love Manara for many reasons. From mountains to farms to the desert, there are beautiful views everywhere you look. The mild climate offers fantastic outdoor recreational opportunities all year round. There are always significant events throughout the year and excellent restaurants and shops to explore. The desert setting, combined with the many farms and ranches, allows Manara to offer a somewhat secluded and private feeling. However, there are so many cultural and recreational opportunities, along with easy access to nearby urban areas, that you're never truly far from anything you could want.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Unique dining opportunities abound in Manara. Asian Spice is a hidden gem headed by Chef Phillip Tan, a chef from a five-star luxury resort in Hong Kong. He serves up familiar Chinese and Vietnamese dishes and Singaporean noodles with healthy ingredients. When you're on the search for Mexican cuisine, Alejandro “Serious Mexican, Mariscos, & Fusion Food” offers classic Mexican dishes and desserts. Cayton's Burger Bistro features delectable gourmet burgers and locally crafted beers. There is a casual but elegant ambiance here.

The Screamery is an old-fashioned, small-batch ice cream maker that uses only natural ingredients. They offer a rotation of ice cream flavors, milkshakes, ice cream nachos, ice cream floats, and other delicious desserts. Another top spot that specializes in local craft beers is Caps & Corks. They have a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, and although they offer craft beer and wine from around the country, they focus on Arizona breweries.

When it comes to shopping, Manara has many unique boutiques and opportunities to find one-of-a-kind treasures. For designer clothes and wares, Tuscon Premium Outlets is in a beautiful open-air setting and features many dining options as well.

Things to Do

Marana's relatively pleasant weather and unique landscapes make outdoor recreation an enjoyable year-round activity. Hike the Tortolita Mountains or the Tortolita Preserve. Marana is known for its desert mountain trails and offers some of the finest cycling experiences in the world. Saguaro National Park is right in your backyard, so enjoy one of the nation's treasures and the country's largest cacti. Enjoy an afternoon of hiking, then relax with a picnic and enjoy the scenic views.

If you're looking for a traditional dude ranch, White Stallion Ranch is an award-winning upscale ranch where you can reconnect with nature and friends in a serene environment. It offers unspoiled desert and rugged mountain rides, with the service and amenities of a resort.

Old Tuscon is a former Western movie and television set that is now a theme park. With a Wild West theme, you'll find live-action stunt shows, musicals, live entertainment, and special events throughout the year. Vintage rides, a narrow-gauge railroad, and genuine southwestern barbecue round out the day.

There are many popular annual events throughout the year to celebrate arts, culture, nature, and holidays. Some of these events include Film Fest Tuscon, Tuscon Festival of Books, Marana's Star Spangled Spectular 4th of July celebration, and the Tuscon Audubon's Southeast Arizona Birding Festival.

To test your skills at desert golf, you have your choice of excellent courses. The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a luxury facility with 27 holes of championship golf among Arizona's natural beauty, sprawling across three Jack Nicklaus-designed courses.
